Some people have asked, is Stoüt a sunscreen or a face cream? Actually, it’s both because we need to wear both a daily SPF and antioxidants to help protect and rejuvenate our skin.
A few years ago, after a skin cancer scare, I asked a dermatologist how best to protect my skin and she recommended that I wear a daily SPF and antioxidants every single day. While many there are many sunscreens and moisturizers on the market, there are few products that have successfully combined both into one.
Given my busy lifestyle of work, family and outdoor activities, I needed an all-in-one natural product designed for active men. Knowing that our skin absorbs chemicals I also needed a cream that nourished my skin with quality antioxidants while naturally protecting it from UV rays and everyday stressors such as weather and pollution.
When I couldn’t find what I was looking for in the market (as many products in the market contain potentially toxic chemicals, and many are made for women) I decided to engage a reputable local laboratory to create Stoüt.
Here are some the key ingredients we have included in Stoüt to make it a premium daily moisturizer with SPF for men that effectively and naturally protects, hydrates and rejuvenates the face.
Non-Nano Zinc Oxide
Non-nano zinc oxide is a powerful physical mineral sunscreen as it sits on top of your skin to block UVA, UVB and UVC rays. Many other chemical sunscreens absorb into your skin and thus into your bloodstream.
The essential fatty acids and vitamins in shea butter help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and moisturize the skin. It’s a popular skin saver for its moisturizing and anti-inflammatory healing properties.
Jojoba is pronounced “ho-ho-ba,” and it contains nearly all the vitamins and minerals essential for healthy skin and hair: vitamin E, B-complex, copper, zinc, selenium, iodine, and chromium.
Grape Seed Oil
Grape seed is the nutrient-rich oil extracted from grapes. It balances both oily and dry patches and moisturizes your skin without any heaviness.
Double duty! In addition to touting both hydration and antioxidant benefits for the skin, sesame oil is said to also contain natural sunscreen properties.
Sweet Almond Oil
Just like eating almonds is good for you, sweet almond oil contains the same vitamins such as E, A and D; and it is also rich in oleic and linoleic acids that nourish your skin.
Borage oil restores moisture and smoothness to dry and damaged skin. It can also provide relief to people who suffer from chronic skin disorders such as eczema and atopic dermatitis.
Sea Buckthorn Oil
Sea buckthorn oil is popular in Russia and other winter regions to help protect dry and irritated skin against blustery, frigid weather, thanks to its high levels of antioxidants such as carotenoids and vitamins A, C, and E.
Hemp seed Oil
Hemp seed oil is full of omega-3 and omega-6 oils making it a powerful moisturizer that regenerates and revitalizes the skin.
Evening Primrose Oil
Evening primrose oil has high concentrations of antioxidants that help fight free radicals and damage caused by sun exposure, stress and pollution. It revitalizes skin cells making skin regain its healthy glow.
Perhaps a super vitamin, vitamin E can absorb the energy from ultraviolet (UV) light. Thus, it plays important roles in photoprotection, preventing UV-induced free radical damage to skin.
Menthol provides a refreshing cooling sensation that helps invigorate the skin.
